I was diagnosed with stage 3 triple negative breast cancer this year and most people would say I’m probably having the worst year ever but I’d have to strongly disagree. Yes getting a diagnosis like that was a tough thing to process, I thought I could die any day but it taught me that each day isn’t a given, life is precious and we need to live in the now. I’ve had the opportunity to meet some pretty amazing people this year and it wouldn’t have been possible without you cancer!
I consider myself a TNBC advocate, I want to listen to other tnbc thriver stories and let them know they are not alone and I will help them get through this rare aggressive disease. I fall into the small group of 10% of women that get TNBC without a gene mutation or family history at the ripe age of 33 years old! And even though I was just diagnosed with a second cancer in my lymph nodes, estrogen positive (stage 2) I know in my heart I’m not going anywhere and I’m here to show you there is sunshine after rain.
